Norwegian Society Washington DC is an organization in the Washington, DC metropolitan area whose mission is to create a meeting place for people interested in Norway, promote strong cultural ties across the Atlantic Ocean, and offer Norwegian Church Service. Our vision is to be the primary choice for a cultural meeting place in the Washington, DC area.
The organization offers regular monthly church services in Norwegian and many educational, cultural and social activities throughout the year, such as luncheons with speakers, networking happy hours, and other events. The organizations also host annual events such as May 17th celebration, Mid-summer (St. Hans) picnic party, Family Day, Christmas Bazaar, Christmas Party, and Christmas Eve Service (some of these in collaboration with other Norwegian and Nordic organizations).
